The Museum of the World Ocean (Kaliningrad) has officially agreed to become the official information partner of the All-Russian Scientific Conference “Seas of Russia: Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation – UN Decade of Ocean Sciences”, which will be held from September 20 to September 24, 2021 in Sevastopol on the basis of FRC MHI.
The Museum of the World Ocean is the country's only comprehensive marine museum and methodological center for the marine heritage preservation, which contains numerous exhibitions dedicated to shipping, marine life, fauna and research institutes.
Close cooperation between MHI and the Museum began in 2016. Then the first exhibits were handed over to create the current exposition dedicated to the Marine Hydrophysical Institute. Tatiana Bayankina, the Atmosphere and Ocean Interaction Department researcher, Scientific Secretary of the MHI Museum, has repeatedly paid working visits to the Museum.
This year, within the framework of the “Seas of Russia” conference, the staff of the Museum of the World Ocean will visit the Marine Hydrophysical Institute for the first time.
